Welcome to race number 4 of the Cleanracing.net season 10 power rankings. Mark motherf**ng Schley won Monday. That just sounds cool, ehh? A protest was effective this week and a protest ended this week. Drivers took a kneel, the league voted Joey can go F*** himself ( I may have been 100% of the votes), and everyone's favorite hard nosed, completely clean racer that gets caught up in netcode, Josh gets to return to the wheel yet 2/3rds of his universally loved teammates suffered hard this week yet again. Blame it on the chrome. Who should be cleanracing.net power rankings leader for week 4 of the season? Take the poll to let me know. (View Results)
Rhett Tucker (Previous: 5)- Do we have another challenger for Joey? He's a distant second in points but keep stringing together top 2 finishes and you never know...Be careful Rhett. Joey is brutal behinds the scenes. If he wants you suspended, it's over. #FreeRhett . Also lets mind our manners. Evan never got into you the last restart. That one actually was all netcode. Like too spinning drum robots from BattleBots, you guys both wildly flew opposite directions without ever banging doors. I'm not a nerd, I only watch it to bond my with children.
Joey Stiers (Previous: 9)- Look it may not have been netcode (even though the objective poll from last week says otherwise), but I'm a team player. I'm always going to fight for my Brownney Racing boys. We are a dynasty and dynasties always stick together forever. I've never though thought of a situation they haven't in my brief few seconds of considering this statement. I'm also sure I'm not jinxing you at all when I say congratulations already on championship number 4. I'm certainly positive there isn't enough bad luck in the world that could happen between now and week 10 with your commanding lead. There is no such thing as bad luck or tough stretches in racing you need to fear. I'm not currently experiencing any bad luck with two last place finishes this season. I've just been off lately.
Evan Kinney (Previous: 8) - Don't look now but Evan is starting to string together finishes and we haven't hit the stretch of schedule that Evan paid Fred to run. Evan is the defending race winner in 2 of the next 4 races (AutoClub and Vegas), won at another one recently (Atlanta in Season 6), and also averages the third best average finish at Road Courses behind Lane and Josh... Yeah watch out for Evan. Also Evan watch out. Joeys brutal with suspensions. #FreeEvan.
Jeremy Mohr (Previous: 10)- It's a battle for Jeremy supremacy. Definitely the best Jeremy in the league. Don't tell the other Jeremy I said that. Other Jeremy don't read this. My favorite Jeremy finished 5th for back to back top 10s. Another reason he's a favorite of mine (not just a favorite Jeremy) is he also participates in this website and won last week's power rankings. Your prize is well nothing but I'm working on that. Thanks for helping me test it with your participation. I did temporarily break it when trying to upload the results and now your lineup will duplicate you temporarily because I deleted everyone's unique ID but it works now and I have a patch for that so keep up the participation and spread the word.
Mark Schley (Previous: Unranked)- League first time winners typically debut right here in the rankings. There isn't much precedent because you are now the second first time winner since these rankings have become a thing. It just so happened last week was the first time an unranked driver won their first career race and he debuted in the rankings right here. And what happened? He followed it up with a second place finish and vaulted to first in the rankings and second in the points. What does that mean? Well absolutely nothing. Not a darn thing. These rankings are stupid and mean nothing. You aren't going to vault to second in the points next week after only doing one race all season, but come back next week and you could vault to first in the rankings. That means something.
Jeremy Morrison: (Previous: Unranked)- Jeremy came up just short of a top five to Jeremy. I've been waiting all season to write that. It wasn't that clever but it had to be written and recorded in the internet archives for eternity. Also it may be a little too late to ask you to skip over the reading of Jeremy's section. You are totally my favorite Jeremy.
Jamie Larocque (Previous: Unranked) - I feel like this is your first time here. I could be wrong. I've been wanting to rank you for awhile honestly so you certainly deserve this ranking on one of the best runs of your career. You've had good runs as of late and every season you get just a bit faster. But more importantly stats and lap times don't matter. You are a class act. I've never heard you berate a driver, the incidents you cause are usually self spins or at a tough track where it's popular to cause wrecks, you always leave room when passing or getting passed. Over the past year I've raced in this league, I've come to enjoy all (well most) of you folk off the racetrack on discord and through radio comms, however there are a handful of guys I really respect on the track and you are one of them. I've already given a lot of the other ones major props as well in the past (you know who you are).
Gregg Barnett (Previous: 4) - Speaking of guys I've given props too for being a class act. World meet Gregg. He is opinionated and is always giving his view on what we can do to be better. He once wrecked me at New Hampshire (Never going to let you forget it). He calls out my sh** on discord when I don't throw a black flag for his buddy after I jokingly said I would prerace. He wants us to become a dirt racing league or a league that only races cars he's skilled at and we aren't. He's an awesome painter. That's Gregg. We love Gregg. He's also a class act. Still 4th in points despite an off night at Daytona. Daytona happens to all of us.
Josh Lilly (Previous: 1)- Except Josh.
Mike VanHouten (Previous: Unranked)- Bad things happens when you side with the protestors. An honorary member of the #FreeJosh club at Daytona for the night, Mike helped the chrome Joshs out the first 20 laps or so of the race and worked with Evan throughout the night before his night ended in disaster. Still finished 13th. And is effectively 4th in points after applying the 10 bonus points for clean driving throughout the season. A 13th was surprisingly good enough to draw the last spot in this week's rankings. That and he's also pretty awesome at the tracks coming up. Also some of you guys should hear the nasty things Mike was saying on our private radio channel about you. I thought he was a class act. While I agree with most of the things he said about Steven, I don't know anymore...
